International Breath Of Fresh Air

Those Americans who do not travel abroad, or do so in “safe zones” that the State department designates as safe, may find it difficult to understand just how much President Obama has improved our safety overseas by simply being a man who is recognizing others as human beings.

There is a real relaxing and hope permeating many quarters around the world. Even Pakistanis, who are seeing a rise in violence upon them by Muslim militants due to the Afganistan military build up, are striving to remain hopeful. Believing Obama is simply being misled by American Generals who simply want to maintain the American machine of violence. This is not simply due to his being an African American President, but precisely because he campaigned on a promise of establishing good relations with others and reversing decades of having a foreign posture of arrogence. Only a true lover of peace and harmony will appreciate what he allowed to happen with Venezuela’s president Chavez.

We know that Bush, and other presidential handlers before, would never have allowed Chavez an opportunity to obtain such a photo op. Of course before Obama, there was not too much incentive to achieve such a chance. The fact of the matter is that President Obama is oiling up and opening doors that have been rusted up with White Supremacy type attitudes towards others. He is walking a very tricky tight rope that leaves little room for err. American hate mongers shall pour out of the wood work on this one. Minds which hate in general thrive much more powerfully when they have something specific to hate on.

What is critical here is for the common American, the American who does not wish to hate, speak out just as they would if the Ku Klux Klan came marching in your community trying to recruit your sons and daughters for their cause. The Rush Limbaughs of America make their living from inciting and bathing in hate. They do not have sexual intercourse, but draw their climaxes through manipulating others to behave under their influence.

It’s about control.

President Obama is actually reaching for peace between people, not hatred or war. He does not strive to identify others as enemies, but looks for some opening to bridge over into friendship. He did not wish to become President with an economy gutted by parasitical tycoons. He certainly did not call for the Bushes to attack our economy with their oil prices which plummetted us into a deeper recession, near depression.

We as mature adults need to always judge others by their actions, not words alone. Are American racists taking actions to produce a healthier world for Americans, or dangerous isolated world? They of course led us into our current circumstances not only economically, but environmentally, politically, socially, medically, educationally on and on. Not of course by themselves, there were more than a few “Liberals” who went along with the same agenda.

The bottom line is Barrack Obama has been an international breath of fresh air, and all those who wish a decent world for themselves and our children should encourage him to stay the coarse and freshen up all the air.
